2019 Trips
Erie Canal Tour
To Benefit Spokes Fighting Strokes' Spokes Adaptive Cycling Program
Bicycling / Triking Tour
June 24 - July 1, 2019
Buffalo - Albany, NY
Join us for a lovely cruise along America's historic canal trail, make new friends,
and help spread HHT & Stroke awareness for freedom and recovery from Stroke &
Brain Injury through Adaptive Cycling.
Be a part of our team as we cycle our way along the mostly off-road path that follows
the old Erie Canal. This is an 8-day tour of moderate daily mileage on nearly flat
terrain (including one rest day). Many stops along the way allow us to observe
historic locks in operation, check out museums, cafes and other trail-side attractions,
such as Fort Stanwix, where you'll find American Revolution-era costumed guides.
Cost for entire tour, including room & board: $800
All proceeds support the Spokes Adaptive Cycling program and this tour; SFS is an
all-volunteer organization.
We are hauling a 2015 Keystone Cougar 33' RV trailer with 3 slide-outs, which
sleeps up to 6 (comfortably), and has indoor & outdoor kitchens, incl. extra
storage. Also bringing a 20' enclosed trike trailer pulled by van or Suburban.
This tour includes all the glamping amenities you could want: gourmet coffee every
morning, great companionship, plenty of good home-cooked meals, snacks, Gatorade,
and daily SAG support along the route.
If you can't make it for the tour, you can still help us out by purchasing a
commemorative shirt (coming very soon), or simply by donating
here (PayPal or checks accepted). Every bit helps!
